Our journey started on the banks of the Thames in 1896, where the founders of The London Essence Company began to develop exquisite essences for the city’s finest perfume houses.
Using a pioneering distillation process combined with the intricate art of layering flavours, they created delicate essences unparalleled in depth and fragrance.

Mathieu Teisseire Syrup is perfectly crafted to elevate the taste of any refreshing cold drink, coffee, tea, mocktail, cocktail, sauce or dessert.
At Mathieu Teisseire our flavour masters work very hard on creating new innovative flavours, but only those syrups that are up to our high standards get the sign of approval to go to market. We have an extensive collection of over 70 exciting flavours that range across syrups and purees. We only introduce a new flavour to the range when we have perfected it to our satisfaction.
We prioritize the flavour delivery, which is why we always use a unique blend of two sugars. This enhances the taste of the ingredients while providing a balanced and superior flavour in cold and hot drinks. Compared to other syrup brands, we use a higher amount of juice in most of our recipes (up to 64%), and Mathieu Teisseire syrups have the lowest sugar crystallisation vs their key competitors – less wastage of pumps and pourers and less mess to maximise operational efficiency.

300 years ago, in the foothills of the French Alps, Eighteenth century distiller Mathieu Teisseire was so inspired by the taste of ripe cherries that he discovered a technique to capture the fruit’s juicy essence.

The Britvic story started early in the 20th century, when a forward-thinking chemist in a small town in Britain started manufacturing homemade beverages, and in 1938 ‘The British Vitamin Company’ (Britvic) was established to make bottled drinks as an affordable source of vitamins for the people of Great Britain.
Originally selling juices, the range has grown and evolved through the years becoming a fantastic core assortment of fruit juice and soft drinks sold across the globe.
